New Year’s Resolution: 50-day Review

What would be the point of me setting a huge list of New Year’s resolutions if I wasn’t going to re-visit the list during the year to see how I’m doing? So now I’m 50 days into the year and it’s time I see how I’ve done so far...

  1. Sell some items on eBay, the world’s largest online auction.
Done. I sold two older snowboard items of mine. Sold, shipped and positive feedback received.
  2. Visit a financial advisor.
I haven’t done this one, yet. But I’ve got several sources listed and plan to do this soon.
  3. Establish, and abide by, a monthly budget.
Also something else I haven’t done, yet. But I think that when I meet with the advisor, this will fall out of it.
  4. Pay off one of my credit cards.
Making payments, but nothing too solid, yet. This will be easier, soon... (read next line item).
  5. Find a cheaper place to live.
Done. Yes, for the seventh time in six years, my address in Kansas City will change. The place I currently live in, and LOVE, is being converted into condos (since everything else is downtown). Unfortunately for me, I can’t afford to buy my loft. So I’ll be moving in a little less than one month to a new place in the Crossroads district. Sigh. But I can’t argue too much, I’m saving a whopping $200 a month there. Cha-ching.
  6. Learn how to consolidate line items.
    Done. Not really.
  7. Limit my soda intake to one a month (easy).
Like I said, this one is easy. I’ve had one soda in all of 2006 and that was on me and Todd’s snowboard trip.
  8. Boycott shopping at Wal-Mart.
    No problems here.
  9. Eat smaller portions.
I waffle back and forth on this one. Trying to, desperately, but some food is just sooooo good.
  10. Exercise more, maybe even join a gym (yes, you can say “maybe” in your resolutions).
Haven’t done this yet. I’ve found a gym I’d like to join, but just haven’t. It’s silly because my work gives me some funds to do just this. It’s high on the priority list.
  11. Remove Google AdSense from my site.
Done and also removed is that weird IE-only thing.
  12. Win an award.
As of last night, this is also done. Sullivan Higdon & Sink (notice the nice, new, redesign!!!) took home a gold OMNI for an interactive web site we did (Caravan Postcards). Sadly, it was the only gold we won, but we were still all very excited.

Seven out of 11 12 (maybe I should add a 13th, “learn how to count.”) ain’t too shabby. But I still have some work to do.

How did you remove AdSense? I didn't really mean to, but it's now on my site, and I don't see anything about removing it anywhere...
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Hmmm... removing AdSense could be a problem for you if your site is a Google-owned site (a la Blogger). If that's the case, then good luck. Otherwise, all you need to do is remove the javascript snippets.
